DZ Straight Truck Training
Start your straight truck driving career with our 4-week “DZ” training course. You’ll learn basic driving techniques, vehicle systems, air brake certification, and cargo securement, along with advanced transmission and straight truck training, preparing you for success in the commercial vehicle industry.

Course Entry Qualifications
- Applicants must be 18 years of age to drive in Canada, and 21 to drive internationally
- Provide A Valid Driver’s License “G” or Higher
- Provide A Driver Abstract
- An MTO Medical is required to be filled out by a doctor
- Grade 10 or equivalent is required

WEEK 1
Employment in the Commercial Vehicle Industry, Vehicle Components & Systems, Basic Driving Techniques, Professional Driving Habits, Straight Truck Off-Road Tasks and Manoeuvres, Documents, Paperwork and Regulatory Requirements
WEEK 2
Vehicle Inspection Activities, Hours of Service Compliance, Cargo Securement, Handling Emergencies, Z Endorsement – Air Brakes
WEEK 3
Heavy Transmission Training
WEEK 4
Straight Truck Training
